About Koobideh

Koobideh comes from the Persian word for “pounded” — the meat is worked with grated onion and spices until it holds to the skewer on its own. It's the kebab you'll find at family tables, roadside grills and celebrations across Iran.

At Sip Haus it's a proper plate rather than a snack — grilled ground beef with rice and grilled tomato, the dish to order when the night is going long.

Make It a Night

  • Pair it with a Persian tea pot or an Old Fashioned.
  • Add the Persian Platter for the table.
  • Follow it with a haus-blend hookah in the lounge.
  • Served Thursday through Sunday — kitchen availability may vary late at night.
